Should Curvy Girls Wear Prints...Or (Gasp!) What About a Floral Print?

I was recently asked: Do you think curvy women should wear prints?
My response was: Of course!

Why should our fashion choices be limited to dark colors? Mimi's Curvy Corner believes in embracing our curves and looking our best. Black is sexy and slimming, and there is a place for that (It happens to be my favorite color!)...but who said we don't look just as beautiful in other colors?

I often hear: But prints and embellishments make us look bigger.
My response is: Well, what about wearing the right prints and accessories?

If that is your concern, then how about opting for a vertical stripe instead of horizontal? Or, how about a larger print (yes, even florals!) with lots of background color for just the right look? And, yes, we can wear tops with sashes and belts and embellishments!

For example, the vertical stripe in the top below is very figure flattering and the belt trim helps to create more of an hourglass figure. And the colors...diva-licious!

And this floral? Gorgeous...and very figure flattering! The longer length helps to elongate the body and the sexy bust draws attention to the curves you want to be noticed most.

Now here's a fun print! You see lots of beautiful earth tones in between the retro swirls print, and the mock belt waist - again - helps to create more of an hourglass figure.

And for those of us who just love black (don't we all?)...try something with a fabulous trim or embellishment as seen below.
